The Human Operating System is the set of human performance principles, leadership behaviors, cultural norms, and work design choices that shape how people think, work, recover, and perform each day. This system is always operating. The impact comes from intentionally designing desired outcomes instead of leaving it to chance.
This work is best suited for leaders and organizations that care about people, positive results, and sustainability. If burnout, disengagement, or performance degradation are showing up, the system is in need of attention. This work can be done by individuals, team/department leaders, and ideally entire organizations.
Most companies have these programs in place already, yet are still suffering from extensive stress, burnout, turnover, and disengagement. In other words, they spend lots of money and energy on wellness and training, but have very little wellbeing and behaviour change. Most programs focus on skills or behaviors in isolation. I focus on the system those behaviors operate within, AND help optimize the most impactful behaviours. When the system is aligned, wellbeing and performance are the inevitable positive outcomes instead of competing against a system that’s setting them up to fail.
